The attack on the driver occurred on the capital’s electric bus on November 23, a criminal case was opened, on November 25 it was reported on the official Telegram channel of the Main Investigation Department (GSU) of the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia in Moscow.
“The investigative bodies of the Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation in Moscow opened a criminal case for a crime provided for in Part 1 of Art. 318 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Use of violence against a representative of the authorities”) and art. 319 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Insults to a representative of the authorities”). According to the investigation, on November 23, 2023, a 23-year-old young man, while traveling on an electric bus, was detained by an employee of the State Public Transport Organizing Institution for traveling without a ticket. During the conflict, the accused publicly insulted an employee of the institution and used violence against him.”says the message.
It is noted that investigative actions are being carried out with the suspect and charges will be filed against him in the near future. During interrogation he admitted his guilt and regretted his actions.
Investigators from the capital’s Investigative Committee are studying recordings from CCTV cameras and questioning witnesses to the incident.
