40% of residents of the Volgograd region choose computer games as a leisure activity after work, the SuperJob press service reports on November 24.
Specialists of the job search platform surveyed employed residents of the Volgograd region about how they prefer to spend their free time after a working day. One in four admitted that he sits in front of the computer and spends all hours playing games.
Interestingly, there are more detailed statistics. 11% of respondents answered that they play literally every day. They don’t think about how this will affect their health. 10% open games several times a week. “according to my mood”, another 7%, only a few times a month. And 12% play several times a year.

What genres of computer games do Volgograd residents prefer? The majority (46%) responded that they choose shooters, including online ones. Another 42% decide to spend several hours in a row playing strategies. 37% of residents of the Volgograd region like to think about riddles. Another quarter like simulators and 22% like missions.
At the same time, 44% of respondents stated that they only see benefits in playing computer games. They are not convinced by arguments that sitting in front of a screen has harmful effects on the back, internal organs and eyes.
