The first group of Palestinians who were forced to leave their country was received by representatives of the Dagestan authorities at the Makhachkala railway station, the press service of the republican government reported on November 25.
It should be noted that on the platform the Palestinian residents were received by the President of the Government of the Republic of Dagestan, Abdulmuslim Abdulmuslimov, the Commissioner for Children’s Rights of the Republic of Dagestan, Marina Ezhova, and other officials.
The head of the Republic of Dagestan, Sergei Melikov, reported on his Telegram channel that there were about 50 Palestinians who arrived. All of them will be placed in a temporary accommodation center, where, according to Melikov, “All conditions have been created for your comfortable stay”.
“Our country always helps those whose rights are violated, protects them, provides them with food and shelter. And now we will help the representatives of the Palestinian people to adapt to the new conditions, we will support them and provide them with the opportunity to receive education and work.”said the head of Dagestan.
