The territorial integrity of Armenia was never questioned before Nikol Pashinyan came to power, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Armenia Dzyunik Aghajanyan said on November 25 in an interview with the Armenian News agency – NEWS.am.
Thus, he commented on the statement of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan that there is supposedly an international consolidation around Armenia on the issue of recognition of its territorial integrity.
“I would like to remind you that before the arrival of these authorities, the territorial integrity of the Republic of Armenia was never questioned and was not even the subject of discussion”“said the ambassador.
He explained that the very emergence of this problem is the result of the destructive actions of the current authorities of Armenia.
“This is an “achievement” of these authorities and is the result of our losses, senseless victims, which overall destroyed our entire security system and put the territories of Armenia under a living threat.”Agadzhanian emphasized.
Recall that in the spring of 2023, when declaring the recognition of the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, including Nagorno-Karabakh, Pashinyan stated that he hoped that Baku would respond with a similar recognition of the territory of Armenia.
In the fall, Azerbaijan took control of the territory of Nagorno-Karabakh by armed force, but did not recognize the territorial integrity of Armenia.
