A meeting of the trade and investment subcommittee of the Joint Commission of Mongolia and the European Union (EU) was held in Ulaanbaatar on November 27, according to the press service of the Mongolian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The report notes that at the subcommittee meeting the parties exchanged information on the current economic situation, trade policy and investment environment.
It is also noted that during the meeting it was announced that the EU had decided to extend the tariff concessions granted to Mongolia. It is clarified that tariff concessions for Mongolia will continue until 2027 under the Generalized System of Preferences (GSP+), which applies to developing countries that meet the conditions for good governance and sustainable development.
“As part of the general discount system, 7,200 types of goods originating from Mongolia enjoy tariff discounts in the European market, so the above decision is important for our entrepreneurs to enter the European market and increase the types and quantities of exported goods “.is the message.
