The plan for the state program “Zemstvo Doctor/Paramedic” in Kalmykia has been 100% fulfilled, the press service of the regional government reported on November 27 on the Telegram channel.
At the expanded meeting of the Ministry of Health of Russia on personnel policy in the health system it was reported that this year in Kalmykia 36 people worked in rural areas: 21 doctors and 15 paramedics.
14 selected residents began to work in medical organizations of the republic, 24 specialists were sent to a specific residency in specific specialties. In addition, 29 applicants entered medical universities in the specific direction, 50 applicants entered the Faculty of Medicine of the Kalmyk State University, and 165 applicants entered the specific budgetary places at the Kalmyk Medical Faculty.
Participants in the video conference noted that covering staff shortages is one of the main tasks of healthcare. Additionally, approaches to managing applied scientific research for the benefit of medicine and its results were discussed during the meeting.
The work of the Kalmykia board was attended by Deputy Prime Minister Marina Olzyatieva, as well as… o. First Deputy Minister of Health Konstantin Angrykov and Deputy Director of the Federal Compulsory Health Insurance Fund Maxim Odzhaev.
