Russia is suffering in the Donetsk region, in eastern Ukraine, about 80% of the total losses on the entire front, the commander of the Tavria operational-strategic group of the Ukrainian army said on Monday.
As Alexander Tarnavsky wrote in the Telegram messenger, Russia continues to encircle the city of Avdovka near Donetsk, the capital of the region of the same name, with persistent ground and air attacks, but Ukrainian troops maintain their positions.
According to a report by the Ukrainian General Staff published on Monday, Avdovka continues to be the area where front-line clashes are most intense. It is reported that in the city area, Ukrainian troops have repelled about 30 Russian attacks over the past 24 hours.
