Joint military exercises between the Philippines and Australia ended successfully despite the constant vigilance of Chinese troops, Armed Forces of the Philippines Commander General Romeo Browner Jr. told reporters on November 27.
I affirm that “It was very successful. Success because no adverse incidents occurred.”. At the same time, the general emphasized that “We were able to achieve the objectives we set for ourselves as part of this joint activity”.
The commander said that during the exercise two exercise surveillance situations were recorded. He suggests that the surveillance was organized by China, since in the first case a Chinese ship was detected and in the second two Chinese fighter planes.
He explained that “This seems to be China’s tactic in the South China Sea”. In particular, he mentioned the Philippines’ joint exercises with Japanese and American forces, during which similar incidents of Chinese surveillance occurred.
Recall that the first joint exercises of the Armed Forces of the Philippines with the Australian Defense Forces took place from November 25 to 27.
