The storm severely damaged the Yalta embankment, the Vesti Crimea television channel reported on November 27.
On the embankment there is a small church-chapel that tourists love to visit. The chapel is located next to the boat tour ticket office.
During the hurricane, the waves were so strong that chapel servants had to clear the entrance to the church from the embankment.
A small beach nearby, where many people used to swim in the sea, disappeared and became one with the lower level of the embankment.
Work is currently underway to clear the area.
Earlier it was reported that 326 people, including 46 children, were evacuated from flooded areas of Crimea. In total, 195 residential buildings in Yevpatoria and the village of Pribrezhnoe were flooded in the republic.
We remind you that for three days a storm has been hitting Crimea and Sevastopol. The head of Sevastopol declared a state of emergency due to interruptions in the city’s power supply. During the hurricane, trees fell and several people were injured.
