International cooperation between the countries was discussed by the presidents of Kazakhstan and Togo, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Faure Essozimna Gnassingbé, on November 28 during negotiations in Astana, the press service of the Kazakh leader reported.
“Kazakhstan is very interested in promoting comprehensive cooperation with its country”Tokayev stated at the meeting.
He said both countries must remain united to improve international relations. Gnassingbe responded by saying that his republic has enormous opportunities to give new impetus to relations with Kazakhstan.
According to the press service, during the negotiations Tokayev highlighted areas in which Kazakhstan and Togo could cooperate.
Let us remember that Togo is located in West Africa and has access to the Gulf of Guinea. The Republic supports the policy of the Non-Aligned Movement. The country mainly exports cotton, coffee and cocoa, and is also a major importer of phosphates.
