A pastor with radical views and ideas discovers his son’s true sexual orientation and is shocked. This is the (simple) motto of the play “Friends with Benefits,” which premieres this Wednesday at the Municipal Hall of Eunice Muñoz in Oeiras. Sofia Alves is the main character of this comedy along with Diogo Lopez and Filipe Matos. “It’s a very funny play with text by John Borg that I’m sure will convince audiences. The atmosphere is amazing, laughter on an important and very relevant topic is guaranteed,” he says. CM director Celso Cleto, emphasizing that it is an insightful satire on religion and sexuality.
The show will run from Wednesday to Saturday at 9:30 pm and Sunday at 4 pm until January 28th. Tickets cost 12.50 euros.
After the season in Oeiras, Amigos com Benefícios goes on a national tour. “It is very important to spread the theater in all parts of the country. We are going to tour Portugal until August,” says Celso Cleto.
