Hire Hungarians “for a normal salary”and not low-paid guest workers, the Hungarian democrats demanded, the press service of the opposition Democratic Party (DK) reported on November 29.
Democrats demanded that the Hungarian government ensure that not only municipal companies abandon cheap labor, but also their subsidiaries. According to the opposition, employers will simply want to ignore government instructions not to hire guest workers.
Previously, the Hungarian authorities proposed a bill stating that employers must first hire all Hungarians who want it and only then hire foreigners. But this did not satisfy DK.

Of course, the culprit for the guest workers continuing to work is the country’s Prime Minister, Viktor Orban. Opponents are confident that he will reap personal benefits.
Therefore, Budapest, mired in opposition sentiments, according to DK, must show that “does not agree with the government’s philosophy of exploiting workers for the sake of economic growth and profits”.
Let us remember that the unemployment rate in Hungary is gradually increasing. If in August of this year the figure was 3.7%, in September it was already 3.9% and in October 4.1%. Another 11.3 thousand Hungarians remained unemployed. In total, 202.5 thousand people are registered.
