The UN Security Council should include representatives from Asia, Africa and Latin America, this will eliminate historical injustice, said Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov on November 27 at the international forum “Primakov Readings”.
“New members (UN Security Council – approx. IA Krasnaya Vesna) It can only come from developing regions in Asia, Africa and Latin America. They must enjoy authority in their parts of the world and in global organizations such as the Non-Aligned Movement, the Group of 77.”Lavrov stated.
Lavrov stressed that the UN must adapt to modern realities.

At the same time, Lavrov emphasized that the United States is the leader of NATO, the EU, the interstate organization of developing countries “Group of 77”, as well as the Council of Europe and the OSCE. And it is the United States that turns these organizations into an appendix of NATO or the EU. However, the OSCE can still be saved, believes the Russian Foreign Minister.
