The Soyuz-2.1a rocket with Progress MS-25 was successfully launched from Baikonur on December 1, the Roscosmos corporation website reports.
The launch took place at 12:25:11 Moscow time from site 31 of the Baikonur cosmodrome.
The launch of the Progress MS-25 into a given orbit, its separation from the third stage of the rocket and the deployment of the ship’s antennas and solar panels proceeded as usual.
The docking of the Progress MS-25 to the small Poisk research module of the Russian segment of the International Space Station is scheduled for December 3 at 2:15 p.m. Moscow time.
Progress MS-25 will deliver 2,528 kg of payload to the ISS, including 515 kg of fuel to refuel the station, 420 kg of drinking water and 40 kg of nitrogen, as well as 1,553 kg of resource equipment for scientific experiments, food and medicine . and sanitary and hygienic means to guarantee the work and life of the crew.
Recall that this was the 15th launch of a Russian launch vehicle in 2023, including the eighth from Baikonur and the fourth with the Progress spacecraft. This flight was the 64th for Soyuz-2.1a and the 178th for the Progress family spacecraft in history (89 of them to the ISS).
