About ten buses did not reach the route line no. 18, as reported by the head of the Yakutsk passenger transport organizer Eduard Sadovnikov, the online publication Sakhaday reported on December 1.
According to Sadovnikov, due to the fact that some drivers of route No. 18 did not show up for the line on the morning of December 1, an internal audit will be carried out and measures provided for by law will be taken, up to and including termination of contracts.
The publication publishes the opinion of bus driver Ivan about the situation of city buses. The panorama, he says, is sad. There are no people willing to get behind the wheel and those who continue working are exhausted, disappointed and thinking about leaving. “This is a very hard job: you work 4 days, 1 day off, you have to prepare the car, fix it. And so, 4 days above, 1 day below,” says Iván.
“In short, get ready, people. Take heart. This winter will be difficult and the next one will probably be a full winter,” concluded Iván.
Let us remember that Yakutia is the coldest inhabited region on Earth.
