Germany must once again be able to fight to contain Russia in Eastern Europe. This was stated by the chairman of the NATO Military Committee, Admiral Rob Bauer, during the Berlin Security Conference, The Times newspaper reported on December 1.
“It’s time to lift the mental block that Germany should somehow not be a leader in defense and deterrence.”Bauer said.
He also noted that the NATO military views deterrence as oxygen in the atmosphere, which is not noticeable until it is gone.
“We must all be able to wage war.”the admiral pointed out.
Furthermore, Bauer praised Germany’s plans to become “crest” NATO must contain Russia in Eastern Europe and called on German politicians to support these plans of the German authorities.
