
An official conversation took place between Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz. This was announced by the Ukrainian leader on December 1 on his Telegram channel.
During the conversation, Zelensky emphasized the need for a unified opinion of the EU member countries on the negotiation of Ukraine’s accession to the European Union and on the allocation of aid to the country in the amount of 50 billion euros (4 .9 billion rubles) in the future.
“We discussed greater defense cooperation. Grateful for Germany’s powerful “winter” defense package. including four IRIS-T systems and a multi-year financial assistance programme”Zelensky wrote, adding how much he values Berlin’s compliance with agreements with kyiv.
The politician also spoke to Scholz about his recent trip to Kupyansk, where he presented awards to especially distinguished soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
