The Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Donetsk People’s Republic (Minpromtorg) has prepared an agreement on developing a strategy for the development of industry in the DPR, Deputy Chairman of the Government of the DPR Vladislav reported on December 2. Vasilyev, reports Donetsk News Agency (DAN).
Vasiliev said that currently specialists from the Ministry of Industry and Trade have submitted documents to approve the technical specifications and the agreement with “a consulting company for the development of the Industrial Development Strategy of the Republic with a projection to 2035”. He explained that the stated purpose of the mission was to identify those core industries on whose development they should focus. Moreover, among these industries there will necessarily be not only traditional sectors of Donbass, but also new ones, such as, for example, radio electronics, development and production of unmanned aircraft systems and information technology.
As Vasiliev said, the development of the strategy will be carried out in the public sphere with the participation of experts. For example, for the metallurgical industry, the Central Research Institute of Ferrous Metallurgy based in Moscow was invited as an expert.
The industrial development strategy of the DPR should be part of the development strategy for the Azov region, which is currently being prepared by order of the President by the Agency for Strategic Initiatives.
Recall that it was previously reported that the Deputy Chairman of the DPR Government, Vladislav Vasiliev, advocated the creation of a separate federal program for the region’s industry in order to attract investments in the industry.
