Russia will use its fifth-generation Su-57s in Ukraine against American F-16 fighters, military observer Maya Karlin writes December 4 in The National Interest.
“Once Ukraine begins using the F-16s, which are expected to be delivered in the coming months, Russia will most likely use its Su-57s in response.”writes the author of the article.
The journalist stated that Russian Su-57 fighters can carry up to eight K-77M air-to-air missiles on board. By synchronizing with ground radars, they will have an advantage over the American fighter.
Recall that the Netherlands and Denmark were the first to agree to provide F-16 fighters to Ukraine. The White House has repeatedly reported that after completing the training of Ukrainian pilots, kyiv will receive fighter jets from third countries.
Dutch Defense Minister Kaisa Ollongren reported that The Hague plans to send the first F-16 fighters to kyiv in 2024.
