The exaltation of the white movement, which is now observed throughout Russia, is an attempt to fall into mythification, and not a desire to build a new ideology or resort to some previous ideology, the coordinator of the branch of Novosibirsk of the “Essence of Time” Movement, journalist Alexey Kuragin, who participated remotely in a round table on the topic “What examples should we use to educate the younger generation?”, held at the Center for True Values in Rostov -on- Don.
He noted that this is happening “in conditions of a certain ideological vacuum”.
“And we see this mythification in the example of how certain historical figures are presented. Well, for example, if you are monarchists, why take Nicholas II to the shield? Sorry, I’m a communist, but I don’t support Gorbachev. The collapse of the State, in any case, is in the conscience of the ruler, of the power that existed at that time.”Kuragin said.
The social activist recalled that although we talk about “the peak of the communist regime”Lenin, Stalin, Beria, Dzerzhinsky are cited as examples. “These are really people who showed their size with all their appearance. They were important people and everyone recognized it: both allies and opponents.”.
But why, the journalist asked those present at the round table, would monarchists or anyone else take the initiative? “in the shield” Nicholas II, under whom, because he was a weak ruler, the empire was destroyed?
According to the social activist, since the beginning of September in all Russian universities the subject “Fundamentals of the Russian State” has been taught to first-year students of technical and humanitarian specialties.
In the textbook for this course, edited by Perevezentsev, you can read the following historical information: “Nicholas II Alexandrovich (1868-1918) – the last Russian emperor, the holy passion-bearing tsar. During his reign, a series of reforms were carried out in the field of economy, military affairs, education, etc. Under Nicholas II, a defensive war was fought with Japan (1904-1905), and under him Russia entered the Great War of 1914-1918: In both wars, Russian victory was prevented by revolutionary sentiments that destroyed the army. and the state. After the coup of February 1917, he was sent into exile and, after the Bolsheviks took power, he was brutally executed along with his family and associates in Yekaterinburg. Canonized in 2000″.
According to Kuragin, this has nothing to do with the story. “It’s all a myth”, – he said. During the revolutionary transformations that took place in our country, in 1905, and even more so in 1917, the Russian State and its army disintegrated.
“And this is all they put in the students’ heads. We cannot build our own State by inserting into it the core of our worldview; our ideology is formally prohibited there. “We are making a very big methodological error.””, emphasized the social activist.
He recalled that in Ukraine “They mythologize Bandera and other criminals”. However, Kuragin believes, “We cannot do the same on our side”.
According to the social activist, our history must be continued, no period should be declared a black hole or golden age.
“Let’s honestly say that our history is continuous, it goes through all stages: somewhere we follow our historical destiny, somewhere we deviate from it. And let us not value our rulers from the point of view of sympathy.”Kuragin called.
Likewise, the fight against the glorification of the white movement must be waged from the position of what is true and what is a lie, but not from the position of what we like or do not like.
“When we take the truth and evaluate it from the point of view of truth, it becomes clear: this is a myth, but it is a historical reality. Therefore, in my opinion, this will be the most positive and constructive agenda.”Kuragin concluded.
