The UK accuses the Russian Security Service (FSB) of carrying out hundreds of computer attacks targeting politicians, journalists and public figures.
According to the British government, quoted BBC Newspersonal data was allegedly stolen and subsequently made public, including information about the 2019 elections. Russia denies all accusations.
British Foreign Secretary David Cameron called the actions of the Russian security service “completely unacceptable.”
“We will continue to work with our allies to expose covert Russian cyber activity and hold Russia accountable for its actions,” David Cameron said.
