Ukrainian “sniper” killed a Russian from a distance of 3.8 kilometers

A Ukrainian sniper waited for hours, lying on the ground in the bitter cold, next to the Dnieper River in eastern Ukraine. He looked to the other side. At noon, five Russian soldiers and an officer appeared at a great distance. The “sniper” placed a 15.5 cm long bullet into the chamber of the “Volodor Obria” super rifle and fired. Unsuccessful. Together with him, his comrade in arms redid the calculations of wind speed, humidity and temperature, which affect the flight path. The “sniper” took aim at the Russian officer again and pulled the trigger. Nine seconds later the Russian fell dead. The sniper was 3.8 km from the target. It is at this distance that Ukraine claims a new world record for long-range shooting (the previous one – 3.5 km – belonged to a Canadian special forces soldier in Iraq in 2017).

An accurate shot by a Ukrainian sniper took place on November 18. This was commented on at the time, but the identity of the shooter is still kept secret. His name is Vyacheslav Kovalsky and he is 58 years old, the Wall Street Journal reported. “I have no doubt about the murder of Russians. We will make them tremble even when they are sitting at home,” Kowalski said.
