A 16-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murdering a 42-year-old woman and injuring two other people in Hackney, London, on Tuesday.
Lianna Gordon succumbed to her injuries and died at the scene. Two victims, aged 16 and 20, were taken to hospital.
According to Sky NewsThe suspect was arrested early Friday morning and remains in custody, Metropolitan Police said.
“Whilst this arrest marks an important development in this investigation, I would like to reiterate my appeal to anyone with information to come forward to police,” Chief Inspector Jo York said.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the case to provide answers to Lianna’s family.
“I have a team of dedicated and experienced officers who are working tirelessly to ensure Lianna’s family and friends get the answers they so desperately need,” the inspector concluded.
