International Anti-Corruption Day is celebrated annually on December 9th. The goal is to raise awareness about fighting and preventing corruption in order to mobilize resources to fight it, according to the government website.
The theme chosen this year is “20th Anniversary of the UN Convention Against Corruption: Uniting the World Against Corruption” and marks the twentieth anniversary of the United Nations Convention against Corruption (UNCAC).
