“They would do anything for money,” says Celeste, mother of Monica Silva, a pregnant woman who disappeared more than two months ago in Mourtos.
Celeste believes that Fernando Valente, who was detained by the SP and placed in preventive detention, killed his daughter to prevent the child who was supposed to be his child from receiving the Valente family inheritance. “He never inspired me with confidence. It was very negative,” Celeste said CM. Monica’s family vows not to give up until the body of the woman, who was seven months pregnant and had two children aged 11 and 14, is found.
Now there is a new version that the judicial police are following. Monica’s body may have been buried during the construction of a hypermarket being built in Mourtos. Inspectors should listen to workers and try to understand where the body might have been buried.
