This Tuesday, Benfica guaranteed its presence in the knockout stages of the European Football League after beating Salzburg 3-1 in the sixth and final round of Group D of the Champions League.
Angel Di Maria (32 minutes), Rafa (45+1) and Arthur Cabral (90+2) scored in Benfica’s first Champions League triumph, while Sučić (57) reduced the Austrians’ lead.
Thanks to this triumph, Benfica, who scored more goals, finished third with four points, the same as Salzburg in fourth, while Real Sociedad won the pool with the same 12 points as Inter Milan.
