Teacher Marinha Grande, who pulled the ears of two seven-year-old students during class at the Escola Básica do Pilado, returned to court and enforcement action was announced this Wednesday. The Marinha Grande court sentenced each of the offended students to a 90-day fine of 540 euros, 300 euros and 4.90 euros to pay for the ointment that the parents applied to the child’s ear.
Teacher Marinha Grande, who pulled the ears of two seven-year-old students during a lesson at Escola Básica do Pilado. The harassment happened in March 2021 when two students were out of place and disrupted class. The two boys were dragged by the ears and suffered cuts and bruises and were very upset, prompting their parents to file a complaint with the PNP.
Prosecutors charged the 53-year-old teacher with two counts of abuse.
