A 12-year-old girl threatened one of her teachers with a knife at the Haute-Urme school in Rennes, France. The alarm was raised around 9:30 a.m. local time (8:30 a.m. on the Portuguese mainland).
In accordance with Le Parisien, the girl did not have a good relationship with her English teacher and wanted revenge. In the morning she armed herself with a 17cm knife to attack the teacher but was eventually stopped by staff.
The student was pinned down in one of the school corridors and detained. There were no injuries, the same newspaper reports..
French prosecutors are investigating the case and have requested a psychiatric examination of the young woman.
“I’m crazy, I want to kill someone,” the girl said, according to media reports.
