Although air defenses intercepted 10 ballistic missiles, one of the worst attacks on the city in recent months sent debris into several residential areas, including the area where a children’s hospital is located, which suffered some damage.
The wounded included children, at least two of whom were hospitalized, as well as 18 other adults. The rest were helped on the spot. It was Russia’s second attack on Kyiv in four days and reflects growing Russian military pressure.
The President of Ukraine condemned the attack and promised to respond. Vladimir Zelensky this Wednesday in Oslo, Norway, met with the leaders of the Nordic countries (Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Iceland) to try to mobilize support in the fight against Russia. Zelensky recalled that Ukraine will not be able to win without the help of its allies.
