An 81-year-old man beat up a thief who tried to rob him at a pharmacy in Goiânia, the capital of the Brazilian state of Goiás. The thief was arrested by police and charged with aggravated robbery.
The episode took place in a pharmacy in the Jardim Novo Mundo district in the capital of Goiás, when an elderly man came to the establishment to withdraw money and buy medicine. When the customer paid for the medicine and put the money back in his pocket, the thief, who had been keeping a close eye on everything, suddenly came up from behind, put his hand in the elderly man’s pocket and tried to steal a wad of bills.
With a well-aimed blow, he hit the robber with such force that he fell to the ground and was knocked down by the customer he was trying to rob.
The criminal managed to escape from the hands of the elderly man, he ran to the exit from the establishment and, in order not to leave empty-handed, on the way to the door he stole a mobile phone from one of the pharmacy employees. When he was almost out on the street, the police appeared.
