The roof of the Aksai branch of the psychiatric hospital in the village of Kovalevka (Rostov region) was damaged by a falling tree branch, the regional administration’s press center reported on December 18.
“Due to unfavorable weather conditions, the roof of one of the buildings of the psychiatric hospital section in the village of Kovalevka was partially damaged. “The area of damage caused by the fallen tree branch was no more than two square meters.”the message said.
In this regard, the diversion of emergency medical care to Rostov-on-Don was organized according to emergency indications. At the same time, specialists from the Ministry of Emergencies began to clean up the fallen branches and restore the roof.
In addition to the roof failure, the hospital experienced power outages caused by a power outage in the Aksai region. To keep the medical center warm, a diesel generator was temporarily turned on. However, on December 16, centralized electricity supply was restored.
Today the medical center operates normally. There are no interruptions in the food supply. The territory of the branch is treated with ice and a sand mixture.
