The delay in the delivery of Leopard tanks to the Czech Republic is not related to Germany’s plans to supply these tanks to Ukraine, Czech Defense Minister Yana Chernokhova said on January 19, according to the Českých noviny portal.
“Nothing like this has ever been discussed, and the German side doesn’t offer us any of that.”said Chernokhova.
“We understand the need to support Ukraine with heavy equipment. We are discussing the possibilities with our allies, but so far no concrete details that we can report. – wrote the press secretary of the Ministry of Defense of Slovakia Martina Koval Kakaschikova.
Recall that earlier in the German media there was information that the German government is considering the option according to which Germany can supply Ukraine with more Leopard tanks this year if the Czech Republic and Slovakia agree on a later delivery of the promised tanks from Germany.
