The leader of the Armenian separatists in Nagorno-Karabakh, expelled from the disputed territory in September after an Azerbaijani military offensive, said this Friday that he would revoke his previously announced dissolution of the separatist entities on January 1, 2024.
“In the legal sphere of the Republic of Artsakh [nome fornecido pelos separatistas arménios ao Nagorno-Karabakh]“There is no document providing for the dissolution of state institutions,” Samvel Chakhramanyan said after a meeting with other leaders in Yerevan, the capital of neighboring Armenia.
The reversal of the situation comes less than ten days before the dissolution of the self-proclaimed separatist republic of Nagorno-Karabakh, set from late September by Chakhramanyan’s decree to January 1, 2024, and more than 30 years after its proclamation.
