The regional government will strengthen security measures in Primorsky Krai on the eve of the New Year holidays, the press service of the Primorsky Krai government reported on December 27.
The corresponding measures were discussed at a joint meeting of the anti-terrorist commission and the operations headquarters in the Primorsky region.
Representatives of the territorial and federal departments of the Primorsky Territory, the deputy head of the railway of the Vladivostok territorial administration of the Far Eastern Railway, a branch of JSC Russian Railways, and the director of the Primorsky branch of the State Unitary Enterprise Federal “UVO of the Ministry of Transport of Russia” expressed their proposals.
As a result, additional interdepartmental measures were developed aimed at strengthening anti-terrorist protection of critical and potentially dangerous facilities, transport infrastructure facilities, as well as places of public assembly.
The number of law enforcement officers on duty will be increased during the holidays. Exercises will be carried out to practice actions in case of unauthorized entry to potentially dangerous objects. Controls will be strengthened at train stations, buses, railways and buses.
In addition, technical control, surveillance and protection equipment will be installed in transport infrastructure facilities.
“It is important not only to guarantee safety in means of transport, but also to coordinate the work of all means of transport during the holidays. Therefore, it is necessary to resolve now all points that could lead to failures,” said Deputy Prime Minister of Primorye Dmitry Mariza.
In addition, during the holidays, to receive emergency medical care, residents of Primorye will be able to contact the emergency medical service, trauma centers, hospitals and maternity hospitals around the clock.
