Carlos Moedas mourned the death of Jacques Delors, former President of the European Commission, this Wednesday at the age of 82 while sleeping.
“Jacques Delors marked the history of Europe and the history of Portugal. No one from my generation will forget that June 12, 1985, in the Jeronimos monasteries, when Jacques Delors said a phrase that is still relevant today: “Either we will be saved together, or we will die each on our own side. “This is the spirit of Europe. We need each other more and more,” the mayor of Lisbon wrote on Platform X, earlier on Twitter.
In the same publication, Carlos Moedas expressed his condolences to the family of Jacques Delors.
