The woman who killed her mother last June in Cova da Piedad, in Almada, has been charged with aggravated murder, according to a note published this Thursday by the Lisbon District Prosecutor’s Office.
In a note published on the website of the Lisbon County Prosecutor’s Office, the Almada prosecutor’s office charged the accused with aggravated murder.
According to the same information, the events occurred on the night of June 8 to the morning of the next day in the house where the accused lived with the victim, her mother.
According to the prosecution, the woman, “assessed as mildly psychopathic,” began by punching the mother “several times in the face and head and then, armed with a kitchen knife, striking the victim in the face, chest and neck.”
The injuries inflicted by the daughter ultimately caused the victim’s death.
The accused is in preventive detention, and the Almada prosecutor’s office wants to maintain this situation.
The investigation was led by the Almada Prosecutor’s Office in Setúbal, with the cooperation of the Judicial Police.
