130,000 people protested against judicial reform in Israel in Tel Aviv, reports RIA Novosti on January 21.
The procession began on Kaplan Street and ended at the government complex. One of the organizers of the protest is the Movement for Government Quality.
Police had previously reported 100,000 protesters.
Let us remember that previously the head of the Israeli Ministry of Justice, Yariv Levin, announced his intention to carry out a judicial reform in the country, after which the protests began, which lasted for the third week. The protests are sparked by two bills, one that would allow the Knesset to overturn Supreme Court decisions by a very narrow majority of 61 votes in the 120-seat parliament, and the other that would prevent the court from overturning decisions of the parliament.
