A fire broke out on a plane on Tuesday Japan Airlines Airbus A350
which took off from New Chitose Airport in Hokkaido, Japan, and which is located on the runway of Japan’s Haneda Airport,
All 379 people on board were evacuated.
All runways at the airport are currently closed. A Japanese coast guard plane, which also caught fire after landing at Haneda Airport, collided with a Japanese coast guard plane, according to Japan Airlines. Airbus A350.
According to the newspaper Japan TimesFive of the six Japanese Coast Guard members aboard a plane en route to a base at Niigata Airport to deliver aid to the earthquake-stricken Noto area went missing and were later found dead. The plane’s commander, the only survivor, was seriously injured.
The Ministry of Territory, Infrastructure and Transport announced the launch of an investigation to establish the causes of the accident.
