This Saturday, police and GNR soldiers spent the night in front of the PSP Coimbra regional command in protest. The protest followed one that was joined by security forces, including prison guards. for the fifth night in a row next to Coimbra City Hall.

On December 29, the President of the Republic promulgated the “Government Resolution regulating the provision of a special regime allowance for providing work in a joint venture.” The law resulted in an increase in the travel allowance from approximately 450 euros to 996 euros.
On Thursday, the Minister of the Interior admitted the possibility of increasing the amount of patrol allowance in the PSP and the State People’s Republic by “from 50 to 100 euros per month.” At the moment it is 60 euros.
