A five-year-old boy, Veles, died after having two baby teeth removed by a dentist in Lviv, Ukraine.
According to Mirror, the child was taken to the Ori-Dent dental clinic on December 17 last year to have two baby teeth removed. Due to the boy’s nervousness, he was given general anesthesia.
Shortly after the operation, Velez’s mother noticed some commotion in the clinic and saw medical teams enter the room where her son was.
When she arrived at the hospital, the woman was told that Velez’s heart had stopped beating, but doctors were able to reverse the condition. The boy was taken to the intensive care unit of St. Nicholas Hospital, where he died this Saturday, January 13.
“Fly, my boy. Fly,” his mother wrote on Facebook.
An investigation has been launched to determine whether there is criminal liability for the child’s death.
