The incident occurred in Beira town in Sofala province when a PRM agent tried to prevent the lynching of two alleged robbers by members of the public in Makuti district on Saturday.

Two minors, 12 and 14 years old, were hospitalized at Beira Central Hospital.
The hospital’s director-general, Nelson Mukopo, said on Tuesday that the teenagers who were shot were in stable clinical condition and were out of danger.
“Last Saturday, we received two children suffering from gunshot wounds. The first child is a child under 14 years old who was admitted with a gunshot wound to the right arm and another wound to the chest,” he explained.
