The National Union of Civil Aviation Workers (Sintac) announced on Wednesday that it had agreed with ANA (Portuguese Airports) to increase average wages by 5% this year for the airport concessionaire’s workers, starting in January.
In its statement, Sintac believes that given its 2023 financial results, “the company could go further,” so the focus is now “on the AE negotiations.” [acordo de empresa]”, which will resume on February 8 and 9.
Highlighting the “difficulties faced by all workers” in an environment of high inflation, the union argues that they “have been a major pillar of the excellent results that ANA is delivering” and so the agreed average increase of 5% is “more than deserved”.
