The 24-year-old man suspected of killing 76-year-old Ilda Rodrigues with five stab wounds on Tuesday morning on Avenida da Liberdade, Amora, in the municipality of Seixal, was arrested this Wednesday by the Judicial Police of Setúbal.
An elderly woman refused to give her suitcase to a man and was killed in cold blood. She was stabbed five times and died in the ambulance in which she was being treated.
The man is also suspected of killing Fabio Verissimo., 20 years. He was stabbed to death on the night of December 26 on the street 500 meters from the scene of the murder of an elderly woman.
The description of the killer matched in both crimes.
The detainee may appear this Thursday in the Seixal court to learn about the enforcement measures.
The knives have been seized and will undergo forensic testing to determine whether they were used in the murders.
