A New Mexico jury has charged the American actor with two counts of involuntary manslaughter for the accidental shooting that occurred during the filming of his latest film, ‘Rust’, in the state and which resulted in the death of the cinematographer. Halyna Hutchins.
A New Mexico jury indicted the American actor this Friday Alec Baldwin of two counts of involuntary manslaughter for the death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the set of the film rustwhich happened in the state.
The first charge refers to a “negligent use of a firearm”, while the second refers to “an act committed with complete indifference to the safety of others”as reported by CNN.
This comes after the actor’s lawyers confirmed in April that charges of involuntary manslaughter were droppedalthough in October special prosecutor Kari Morrissey stated that his case would be brought before a grand jury in November.
The actor accidentally shot the director of photography, Halyna Hutchins, in October during the recording of a scene, with a gun that should have been blank but, for unknown reasons, was loaded.
