Singer and Big Brother contestant Leandro admitted that he beat a 50-kilogram dog that was “flying.” The IRA – Animal Intervention and Rescue – published on Facebook a photo of the singer and a text saying that Leandro’s statements will be analyzed and, if there is enough material, a criminal case will be initiated.
“According to Law No. 69/2014 of August 29: “Whoever, without justifiable reason, inflicts pain, suffering or any other physical violence on a companion animal” will be “punished with imprisonment of up to one year” or “a fine of up to 120 days.” . Given this and the competitor’s statements on national public television, we will consult with our legal department to assess the situation and file a criminal complaint if there is sufficient evidence,” the publication may read.
