This Tuesday, Sporting Braga reached the final of the Football League Cup for the fifth time, beating Sporting 1-0 thanks to a goal from Spaniard Abel Ruiz.
In Leiria, the Spanish striker scored the only goal of the match in the 65th minute, sending Sporting Braga into a decider for the fifth time as they compete for their third title after the 2012/13 and 2019/ seasons. 20.
After beating Sporting, Braga will face either Benfica, title holders with a record seven wins, or semi-final debutants Estoril Praia in Saturday’s final, who will meet each other on Wednesday, also in Leiria.
