The owner said that she was expecting a call from a Portuguese friend and therefore answered an unidentified number. On the other hand, the scammer told her that he had won a prize of 38 thousand euros at a currency exchange office (where she had been the day before). She was tricked into revealing access to a banking application.
“I can’t believe how stupid I was,” she said. In 24 minutes, all savings were transferred to three accounts of the scammers.
