Meat products transported by two trucks of the Avicarvil company were destroyed by participants in the farmers’ protests in the Drome department, the head of the press service of the Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Radu Filip, reported on January 27. Antena 3 reported.
According to a representative of the Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the incident occurred on January 24 in the French department of Drôme with goods from the Romanian company Avicarvil. “As a result, according to the drivers, two trucks carrying the company’s goods were stopped by a group of protesting farmers, vandalized and the transported goods were destroyed.”Philip said.
It should be noted that, according to the French National Federation of Agricultural Unions (FNSEA), more than 72 thousand farmers participate in protests against the government’s agricultural policies. 41 thousand tractors participate in the promotions. Farmers oppose “green policies”, imports of agricultural products, rising diesel fuel prices and increasing financial burden.
