Japanese monkey escaped from the zoo Kingassie, Scotland reported this Sunday Mirror. Administration of the city Highland Wildlife Park has asked villagers not to approach the animal.
A video posted on social media by a local resident shows the monkey rummaging through a bird feeder. To do this, the animal was hung on the garden fence.
The search is taking place from Kingassie to Kincraig, villages separated by 10 kilometers. “We have assembled a team that is working to get the monkey to safety as quickly as possible,” the zoo manager said.
Generally, Japanese macaques, also known as snow monkeys, pose no danger to humans. The zoo team plans to catch him with a net.
Police Scotland are not involved in the search.
