A member of the special unit of the Police of the Republic of Mozambique (PRM) was killed at point-blank range in the town of Matola in the province of Maputo, a corporate source told Lusa this Thursday.
Moises Mandlate was shot dead at around 23:00 (21:00 Lisbon time) on Monday at the door of a commercial establishment selling alcoholic drinks, near his home, in the 1. de Mayo district, by an unknown group. , in the presence of friends and neighbors.
“Police are now working in coordination with other forces to find the group,” said Carmina Leite, a corporation spokeswoman in Maputo province.
Moises Mandlate, 41, was part of the Special Operations Group (GOE) of the Mozambique Republic Police.
